God-given Gifts and Talents

Image
One of the most neglected areas in many people's lives is the gifts that God has placed within them. But as children of God, we need to recognize our innate gifts, talents and strengths and do everything in our power to build and develop them. Why? Because those skills and capabilities are specially designed by God for you to fullfill your calling and perfect role in His divine purpose and plan. Good thing about our God-given gifts and calling is that they are permanent and enduring. Romans 11:29 tells us: ...the gifts and callings of God are without repentance.  The Greek word translated repentance in this verse means "irrevocable" . Meaning, God cannot take away His gifts and calling in your life. Even if you've never done anything with them or even if you've failed time and time again, God's gifts and calling are still resident within you. They are indeed His deposits in our personal accounts, but we're the ones who will determine value of interest...

You Never Left

Image
Life is beautiful and it feels so good to be alive. I normally open my eyes in the morning with excitement in my heart. Generally, I'm a cheerful person - someone who's full of happiness and love. There was a time, though, when everything was slowly falling apart. When waking up and facing a brand new day feels like a torture. That moment when even a simple smile seems like taking all the energy left within me, pushes me into thinking that it would be better if I raise the white flag and give up. I was stucked in a dark room full of fears, sadness, anger and confusion. I didn’t think I can get through it, but You did. For You who stayed by my side through my raging seas: the One who held my hand and never let my fingers slip during the storm, for You who could see the light at the end of this journey when all I can see was complete darkness. For Your beautiful soul who believed in reconciliation and forgiveness, who keeps on saying that I can still be transfomed ...

We should not CONFORM...

Image
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2) Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. You are not forgotten!

""Remember these things, O Jacob, for you are my servant, O Israel. I have made you, you are my servant; O Israel, I will not forget you." (Isaiah 44:21). The same thing with Jacob, we are God's servant, created for His glory, made to worship His holy Name. Arise generation for we are not forgotten by the Sovereign God!
